2. Remove restrictions related to when undrafted players from the MLB draft can be drafted in our draft

I'm down for this. Creates trade situations that are difficult to assess and quite divisive like my Semien deal last offseason. As long as straight up cap space trading is allowed and free agents are allowed to be moved at a certain point in the season, rebuilders will still have appropriate and fair chances to gain future value for their current money.

Could go with a qualifying offer must be attached to an RFA, maybe the value of the player determined by the new arb value formula (Fantrax value and multipliers). Say I RFA Cedric Mullins so find his value maybe $10M for 2023. I have to offer him $10M for at least 2024 but could offer $10M/3yrs . Bidding teams would have to beat that. RFA team would have to match or release. Still if player high enough in Fantrax ranks RFA team receives comp pick. Could get tricky. I could be leaving money on the table because nobody would bid that high or the player had his best year ever in yr (6) so the QA would be scary high.

Trade deadline needs to be asap to force tough decisions but after the MLB deadline so we know where all the players end up irl.

Maybe one earlier deadline for anyone with any MLB experience and one deadline at the end of our rookie draft for draft picks/money/true prospects with no MLB experience? Could still reinforce your squad by predicting someone getting called up correctly, but covers most situations at least while still allowing for flexibility in draft pick trading.
