Looking for prospects/picks in return for all my guys.
Available:
Alexei Ramirez - He's more expensive capwise, but I can pay him in full to get a better player return. I'd likely ask just one solid prospect or pick, then a couple low minors flyers for him fully paid. Solid SS that won't hurt your cats relative to other SS's, will get some steals and help out average.
My pitching staff - I know there's nothing there that's spectacular, but there's nothing there that will kill you either. Hughes I think will be solid this year pitching in a favorable home park, and Johnson is a solid arm and is considered the White Sox top prospect IRL. Paulino can be good, but he's coming off injury. Peacock has made some tweaks and supposedly picked up a good slider this offseason.
Relievers - your guess is as good as mine as to who my closer will be.
Tough to get for various reasons:
Miguel Sano - He can be had. PM offers, looking for prospects/high, high picks in '14. The lower the pick the better the prospects to be included. You know how trades work. Now that I've dealt Abreu, MLB players do not interest me. Sorry.
Avisail Garcia - He has been left off prospect lists because of eligibility reasons for 2 years, and was just starting to ascend them when the Tigers called him up and used his eligibility. Kind of a forgotten man, but I'm a huge believer in his bat. And it's hard to find a good RF.
Aaron Hicks - Opposite of Garcia as to prospect listings. But he's a great athlete who won't move off CF even when Buxton comes up. He always took a long time to adjust in the minors, and I think he'll do the same in the majors. Maybe not this year, but sometime soon I think he'll break out and be one of the better CF options. Like a Chris Young that can hit .260.
Marcus Semien - Mostly because I don't know what to make of him or where he'll play. Could get 15 hr's/20 steals without killing the rest of your cats. On the hard to get list because I like him more than you do, probably.
Matt Davidson - See Semien, although I think he's more of a Trumbo+ style hitter. Don't know if/where he'll play. Without an obvious path to PT I don't know I would get enough value for me to want to deal him.
