Sorry but no. Friedl, if you believe in WAR he's 4.4 (2023) which makes him the 3rd ranked CF. 4.4 is All-Star level. He's ranked around or in top 10 CF / top 20 OF and he's a (3).
Veen is ranked #92 on MLB and unranked on others.
Great get but the return needs to hurt.

Veto as well. It's of course possible that Veen works out and Joyce becomes a dominant closer but the values right now are just wonky for a player with strong performance and a great contract. I'd want to see at least one if not two more Veen level specs in a deal like this

Veen was once considered a good prospect but now his play has seen his value and projection muddled. For return of a top 30 OF I would expect a good deal more.
