Here is the 2019 Master Roster. Here's my own version of "patch notes" as we head for a new year:
1. All players in minors that were a year (2) or further were called up to the 40-man or 25-man roster. A rule change is going to be discussed about sending players down who are not year (1), so for now all of these guys are called up
2. Players in bold are on the borderline of qualifying for a new year or position of eligibility, so I left them like that for me to check once the MLB season ends. After I confirm, I'll remove the bolding
3. Players just coming off the scale who are extension eligible are denoted with a "FA/EXT" next to their names while players who are RFA eligible are denoted with a "FA/RFA". I tried to find all extensions but I'm sure I missed some, and I also tried to account for players being acquired after the July 31 RFA eligible deadline, but again I'm sure I missed some. Please be up front about this, because I'll be checking when you RFA someone anyway to be sure it is legal. Players coming off their real life deals who may have extensions were moved to the Free Agent sheet, but if they have one and they are eligible to be extended, just make a note of it and it'll be an easy fix
4. Position eligibility should be correct, like with #3 I probably missed some, but generally speaking it should be good
5. You'll notice that now we show all years of control, arbitration included, to prevent confusion; this will also help account for your salary in future years for year (1-3) guys who have fixed dollar amounts
6. Years beyond 6 and years for IFA signees are now gone; these were superfluous and even confusing, so no need to have them. To do this, I had to slightly alter the count function that automatically shows the number of players on your 25-man and 40-man rosters, so if it looks wrong I probably messed up so please let me know if your roster counts look wrong (either too many or too few)
7. Some names were slightly changed to reflect what players actually go by. If you notice someone on your roster that goes by a longer/shorter version or different spelling, again please let me know; we've done a good job of players not being double-owned, so I'd like to keep that up
That's all! Hope y'all enjoy and let me know of any other issues that come up! Here's to 2019!!
